Product Update 2/17/21

Guess what? We have another product update for you! We have been working around the clock to keep rolling out new features and getting rid of any bugs along the way. Some of you may think these are minor features but we are working on some huge features in our pipeline. There is a lot to come, so we are very excited for your opportunities to continue to grow this year. 

 

Registration Flow 

After much debate, we decided to make the company field optional in the registration process. Essentially we made this decision because if you have a valuable opportunity for someone then it should not matter what company you own or work for. What we did make mandatory is providing your primary location because this information ensures that you will be notified about any relevant opportunities in your area. Also if you need to change your primary location then that can be done in your profile by hitting the pencil in the top right corner. 

 

Profile Update

For the profile, we added an “About” and “Headline” section. The headline section is plain text so that you can make it anything that you would like.  We would suggest something short, sweet, and to the point, since it will be one of the first pieces of information that another member would see. If you own more than one business or are in a couple of different industries then this would be a great place to show that. Do you want to go more in-depth about yourself and what you do? Then scroll down to the About section and go into as much detail as you would like. Another feature that we added to your profile is a live visitor indicator so you can see that someone is viewing your profile. You will not be able to see who it is, just that someone is viewing your profile in real-time.

 Agreement PDF link

When you send a referral with the client info and then award it to a candidate you both will be able to download the referral agreement. If you do not enter the client info into the referral then the system will not create the legally binding agreement. Just remember NuOp will not share the client info until both parties have accepted the agreement. This truly is an amazing feature that you should utilize. Here at NuOp we try to accommodate all of your needs with the referral process.

New Year, New Features, and New Look

 

Our Team wanted to start the year off heading in the right direction so we squashed some bugs and pushed two new important features your way. The first new feature is the “opportunity detail overview” and the second is the “opportunity list view.” We created these new features to make it easier for you to navigate and understand your opportunities. So let’s dive right in!

 

Opportunity Detail – Overview 

 

The new look of the detail overview was created so that you can swiftly process every opportunity. (See screenshot below) There is a lot of information that you need to review before assigning and sending an opportunity which is why we broke the page down into four main cards.

  •  General Information – contains the status and the description of the opportunity.
  • Candidates/Sending Party –  From the sending party view, you can see who are your candidates, potential candidates, and who you assigned your opportunity to. On the receiving party side, you will see who sent you the opportunity. 
  • Terms – This shows the referral fee requirements if any exist.  Below the stated fee is a link to view the full terms of the referral fee the sending party requires for their referral.  
  • Client and Timing Information – The client’s information will not be shown until both parties accept the opportunity.  As always, including your client’s contact information is optional when you submit your opportunity. Timing info lets the receiving party know when the last time the client was contacted and when the client expects to complete his/her transaction.  

 

Opportunity List View

 

Our main objective for this view was organization. With this list view, you now have the tools to organize your opportunities any way you choose. On the list view is a search bar that allows you to quickly search your opportunities by location or member name. You should also note that there are two quick filter buttons so that you can easily see all of your opportunities at the two most “urgent” stages: awarded & pending. Finally, two drop-down menus now exist so that you have the option to sort your opportunities by creation date and to also filter by any status type. In summary, the list view allows you to organize your opportunities quickly and effectively so that you can quickly recall what you need.

Ps. When you are in the new and improved opportunity module you will see “KPI” and “Clients” tabs listed as “coming soon”. (KPI = Key Performance Indicators) It’s too early to give away what we intend to do there, but rest assured it’s exciting. Just know that when we release it you will hear about it.

 

 

Bug Fixes

  • City, State of an open opportunity was not showing. That has been corrected. 
  • Preview screen was not rendering properly. That has been corrected. 
  • Sent and received opportunities were not calculating properly. That has been corrected. 

 

Cosmetics 

  • Finalized rebrand from “Really” to “NuOp”.  Do you like the new name and logo?  We love it!

 

New Features

  • Opportunity detail – the overview has been modified to give members a cleaner view of their opportunity details. 
  • Opportunity list view – the new list view gives members the ability to sort and filter their opportunities  in a more effective manner.  Members can now sort by creation date and filter by status.

This post provides an update to all NuOp members on platform enhancements and bug fixes as of 12/6/20. 

 

New Opportunity Creation Flow

We are proud to release our new opportunity creation flow!  (FYI: A referral is a type of opportunity) We knew that you were creating new opportunities every day with all different types of professions. Now you have the ability to do so on the NuOp platform.  We have created a new “opportunity” creation flow that accommodates any type of referral you want to send.  And of course, we built the new flow keeping ease of use in mind.

If you happen to be a real estate agent and your sold a home to a first-time buyer, that buyer will likely need services from other service professionals. Your buyer might contact you saying “hey we need some work done on the roof and someone to mow the lawn.”  Now you can do it all on NuOp. 

 

Three options to create and send your opportunity

As always you have three options to create and send your opportunity to another Member:

  1. Send out an open referral for a roofer and a landscaper and we will find the candidates for you. Don’t search it, just send it!
  2. Send a direct referral or a first-come, first-serve referral to a roofer and landscaper that you already know that are on NuOp. 
  3. Invite someone you know to join NuOp through invite and earn and then send them the referral so that you can potentially earn money 

This milestone of giving all professions the ability to exchange a referral with anyone is a huge accomplishment for NuOp. It gives all of our members the capability to maximize performance and keep track of every referral. Now, this leads us to our next big feature in the referral creation flow:

 

Referral Fees

You are now able to require a referral fee for your referral regardless of your profession.  For many decades real estate agents have been requiring referral fees for their referrals to one another.  In fact, that is the very reason why NuOp was initially created  –> To make the process of exchanging referrals between Agents quick and easy.  Overtime we perfected that function of the platform and now it’s open to all Members including the ability to require a referral fee.  . 

 

Preview

Since NuOp is always about speed and ease, we figured it would be a good idea to slow it down a bit with the preview feature so our members can review their opportunity before submitting it.

 

Search

We also thought it would be a great idea to upgrade the member search bar. Before members were only able to search other members by name, but now you can also search members by location.

 

Global distribution of opportunities

For our last update, NuOp now gives you the ability to notify other professionals about your opportunity without any geographical limitations.  For example, if you are seeking virtual assistant services does it really matter where he or she is located?  Probably not!  Now you are able to notify any professional who can provide the service you are seeking regardless of where they are located. Previously our notifications were limited to a certain geographical radius to your stated location.

Bug Fixes

  • Members were not able to sign out. That has been corrected.

 

List of New Features

  • New referral creation flow redesigned with ease of use in mind. 
  • All members, regardless of profession type, are now able to exchange referrals. This accounts for 257 different professions. 
  • Preview your referral before sending it. Members have the ability to review and edit their referral information with the new preview feature.
  • Upgraded member search within referral creation flow makes it easy for our Members to find one another.
  • Professions that have the ability to work remote, can now view and claim open referrals from anywhere on the platform.  Prior to this update, open referrals would only notify Members within a 60 mile radius of the referral location.  
  • All members can now request a referral fee. This option is no longer limited to just Real Estate Sales. Keep in mind, some professions limit how and to who referral fees can be paid. You should ensure that there is no legal, professional or other limitation on your ability to enter into a Referral Agreement and/or to pay or receive any referral fees.
